Audit Officer

Overview

The Audit Officer is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations. This role ensures the organization's operations are efficient and aligned with best practices in risk management and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits across departments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and processes.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess areas of financial and operational risk.

  • Audit Reports: Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.

  • Process Improvements: Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in auditing or risk management.

  • Certifications: CPA, CIA, or related certification preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in auditing software and tools.

    • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
